As a decontamination technician (also known as a sterilization service technician, sterilization service assistant), you work with a variety of medical devices under limited supervision, within strict guidelines and procedures.
For each medical device, we are responsible for:
- disassembling
- cleaning
- disinfecting
- checking
- reassembling
- packaging
- sterilizing
- despatching
- and tracking the device, in a controlled environment.
